The UAE has strict laws concerning over-stay in the Country. When you see that your Tourist visa or Employment visa is about to elapsed. Do well to go and register for a new visa.
Here is how you can get a 5 years tourist visa if you want. But when it happens that you are unable to renew your visa and you enter over-stay, here is what happens to you;
- Money Troubles: You might have to pay fines every day you overstay. This can get expensive fast. The UAE government will start charging you for over-staying your visa. It is believe that 50per day is charged on your visa for overstaying. According to the UAE government website the ICP has standardized the overstaying fines in the UAE. According to the new rules, visit, tourist and residence visa overstaying fees have standardized at AED 50 per day. Those overstaying on a residency visa will have to pay AED 50 each day (AED 50 per day instead of AED 25).
- Legal Problems: Overstaying breaks the law. You could get in trouble, be sent away, or not allowed back. The are severe legal issues that will arise from you being over-stay. The Government will have no option but to put you in jail for this conduct. Even when there is amnesty, there is still the possibility of you going to jail before you will be deported back to your country of origin.
- Bad Record: Overstaying makes a mark against your name. Other countries might see this when you apply for a visa later. IT will bring bad records to your passport. When you the UAE deports you on the issue of over-stay, other Gulf countries will NOT also accept you when you apply for visa. Yet, it is said, after 6-months you can reapply for you to come back. But, that will depended on sole the UAE government grounds.
- Blacklist: If you do really bad overstaying, you could be put on a list that stops you from coming back to the UAE. Like its explain earlier, when you overstay your visa for so many years and it get really bad, then the country will ban you from coming back to the UAE. This will include other gulf countries be it, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, etc.
- Hard Future Visits: If you want to visit the UAE again, overstaying before might make it hard to get a new visa. People might look at you more carefully. See as we say it like this you will not believe until it happens to you. Take note, some major countries like US, UK etc. are all against illegal's immigrants, therefore, if you overstay your visa in UAE don't think its only this country that will put you trials and that will be it. The major countries like the ones I mentioned earlier will also look keenly into your documentations and all before if they will allow you into their too.
