Dubai International Airport will halt its operations in one of its runways for 45 days in other to upgrade its infrastructure.
This upgrade will be done in May which in a way reduces one of the busiest airports in the world operations.
Some flights carrying passengers will be diverted through Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport.
The northern runway will be closed for restoration and a portion of its traveler flights will be taken care of by Dubai's subsequent center point, Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Air terminals, told The National on Tuesday.
Again, the airport will be opened by 4th May to the public after its closure due to the covid pandemic.
