In December 2021, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, discussed with His Excellency Betty Ambi Ongom, Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development of the Republic of Uganda, ways to enhance cooperation and develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in the field of labor.
The Meeting was held in Abu Dhabi. The Minister brought to light the ways in which UAE will operate in 2022 in order to retain more expertise and talents around the globe which Ugandans will be part of.
The Ugandan Minister lauded the UAE's development in various fields and appreciated the country's labour market legislation and its role in upholding workers' rights. She expressed her desire for greater cooperation between the two countries in the coming period.
