43% of companies planned to increase salaries of UAE workers by an average of 3% in 2022, according to a report by recruitment agency Cooper Fitch.
The Cooper Fitch UAE Salary Guide 2022 polled more than 600 companies in the UAE. The companies that planned salary increases were mostly in the HR, manufacturing, advisory, and technology sectors.
Also, 35% of companies planned to increase salaries by up to 5%, while 4% of companies plan to offer up to 69% increase in salaries.
Some 5% of companies that participated in the survey also said they will increase workers’ salaries by at least 10%.
37% of companies said salaries will remain the same in 2022, while 19% said they will cut salaries by up to 10%.
Trefor Murphy(chief executive of Cooper Fitch), insisted that the UAE’s tourism, real estate, and aviation sectors were seeing a positive recovery, boosting hirings and business activity in the country.
