Dubai Misdemeanour Court has jailed a 46 years old European woman for stealing in a mall. She did what is called shoplifting.
This woman, whose name has been withheld for some reason is a European. She stole from a mall in Dubai and was caught when she was about leaving, by security. She was arrested fined an amount of 5000aed for that crime she committed.
Per investigation, it was established that she removed the anti-theft tag of the garment which she stole from the shop. It was not only one item but five. When confronted, she decided to flee. The Security guard got hold of her and police came to the scene to arrest her.
The woman admitted her crime upon interrogation and showed them how she did her crime. She took 3 items downstairs and added two more when she went upstairs, all of which she took off the anti-theft tags and hid the items in her bag.
